Endurance cycling badass Lael Wilcox is racing the Tour Divide this year, which is a self-supported race that goes from Canada to Mexico over 2,500mi along the continental divide at altitude.

It's beyond tough and gnarly. But also? She's taking off from home in Arizona to ride her race bike to the start line, which is just north of Montana.

@mathowie the race begins about 800m from my house, once a year I see them all getting ready on my walk to work. It’s a great race - friend has made it halfway. Glad to hear more people know about it.
