Egypt bows to Israeli demands to stop the March to Gaza ‘Al-Samoud’ convoy
An official Egyptian government statement was issued following an announcement by Israeli DM Israel Katz, that called on Egypt to block thousands of North Africans from travelling to Rafah. - MPN
Cairo says that anyone seeking to go to Rafah must receive government permission first, despite the fact that the March to Gaza has been well planned in advance and the Egyptian regime has full knowledge of it.
Yet again the Egyptian military dictatorship takes its orders from Tel Aviv. - MPN
The Egyptian regime is mass arresting and deporting foreign nationals who arriving in the hundreds to participate in a planned march to Rafah in order to break the siege on Gaza.
Egypt has even set its media and social media bots to claim that the March to Gaza is a “Zionist” conspiracy to drag the country into a war.
In reality, Egypt was given orders from Israel to stop the peaceful protest and instantly complied.
Issam Al-Jashi, one of the activists of the Resilience Convoy, told Quds Network:
Egyptian security arrested us and deported us immediately upon our arrival at Cairo Airport.
We were beaten and insulted by the security forces.
A very limited number of activists were able to enter Egypt, while the remaining activists coming from Europe were deported to Sabiha Gokcen Airport in Turkey.

Egyptian security forces reportedly assaulted Turkish MP Faruk Dinc during a crackdown on pro-Palestinian activists participating in the Global March to Gaza on Friday.
Dinc, who joined the march in an attempt to break Israel’s siege on Gaza and deliver aid, sustained head injuries after being struck by an object.
Egypt is being accused of “following Israel’s requests” after Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz asked Egypt’s government to block activists attempting to deliver aid to Gaza.
Dozens of foreign activists have been detained by authorities at Cairo airport, and most were deported for attempting to join the march. - MEE
