And here is a still picture of a nice muon hit.
We can be sure its a cosmic muon because its clearly beyond the noise floor of the SiPM frontend.
And this is why you need termination with 'high speed' signals.
Even though this is already filtered and only has about 10ns rise-time (thus 100MHz bandwidth) the ringing is obvious without the 50Ohm termination.
With this, you can deduct the length of cable used :)
I want to stress that this is a rather simple build, but I had to do several iterations.
Don't get fooled by me only posting the successful result!
I build the scintillator two times. And the SiPM frontends did not work at all in the first iteration (soldering issue).
The setup still is not light tight.
And the fibers in the scintillator are glued in rather ugly, only half of them work.
