A self-described 'LA native mom' gave a wild speech while wielding a leaf blower while at one of the many anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles. Protesters have been using leaf blowers to blow tear gas back towards police.
Musing Mouse@tsyum she mentions an often forgotten component of this whole thing. Until the mid 1800s, a huge portion of the southern USA was Mexico. It was taken by force, and the people pushed out for the most part, many through death, others to avoid it.
I’ve gotta take a break here soon, but one more note: the calmness of numerous demonstrations. AP News has reported that today’s demos are quite different from what we saw in ‘92.
