"The magic mouse is designed to charge up enough to use while you go and make a coffee"

I don't think I've once remembered to plug my mouse in when going for a coffee.

@wj How would it help you make coffee?
@martinrue
If you can get it to output 5V, you can buck it to 12V, and therefore run a drill for a very short period of time. If it can run a drill, it can crank a small hand grinder.

@kianryan @wj And just like that we have Kian's next Barcamp talk sorted. Add a Swedish voice and it's a winner.
@wj I think perhaps if your mouse runs out of charge, charging it and making a coffee feels like a natural reaction, rather than a thing to remember.
@Michaelkeene Well I forget each time, either it's not natural, or I'm not natural.

@wj I swear that that mouse was designed to ship with a little charging stand to put it on at night/when you walk away from your desk, but they just... forgot.

I tried 3d printing one for my wife a while ago, but the print was wonky and none of our (admittedly non-Apple) lightning cables ended up fitting it anyway. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@wj
My coffee is either six minutes and 45 seconds (45 seconds to fill boiler, weigh, grind, wet paper, turn on, 6 minutes to brew) or (does maths) a heck of a lot longer depending on grinder, method, alertness, number of cats.

I don't like the variability of this as a metric.
