If you work for a company owned by a horrible company, you work for a horrible company. Don't kid yourself.
@grumpygamer OpenAI and Microsoft? Or is it Facebook and META?

@grumpygamer

What's your opinion on Google?

I hate Apple and Facebook. Others I side eye.

@BlueBee Google can go rot in hell.

@grumpygamer

Strong opinions. If you ever want to voice why, I would be very interested to know.

But no pressure. I understand your time is valuable.

Alternatively, who is good? What organization is doing good work and having a positive impact from your point of view.

@BlueBee
In my opinion there is definitely no clear evil and good, but there are many indicators of how selfish organizations or any group of people are.
You may look at their company culture, their aims and moral values. You may look at the distribution of income/wealth between the top and bottom levels of their hierarchy. You may look at who they are supporting with their actions.

@grumpygamer Yup one of the few things I keep telling myself after coming home, totally wiped out: At least I work for a school, not a horrible company (Some kids in my class will found horrible companies later tho, pretty sure of it).

@grumpygamer

Can we get an index of horribleness published please? I'd like to look up my employer.

Make it something live tickered on bloomberg or somesuch.

@grumpygamer Or a β€œTerrible” company πŸ˜‰
@grumpygamer governments count, people.
