people see nazis as things they could never be. things their neighbors could never be. puppy kickers with devilish horns and a tail or something. totally evil.
but if you weren't someone the nazis hated, you could easily not know they were nazis.

@Crispius nazis were people and that's what's so fucking terrifying. if they weren't people it wouldn't challenge our idea of humanity. but they were.
33 percent of germans (a plurality) freely voted for hitler.
so yes, nazis can be people you know. they're neighbors, parents, coworkers, Starbucks baristas.
and if we treat nazis as obviously detectable, we pave the way for nazism.
because they don't kick puppies. they don't have horns. so how could they possibly be a nazi?
