@so_treu I've been wondering about that because Bluesky moderation has been pretty much at war against its Palestinian users for months at this point, nuking their accounts for no good reason, and I really don't understand why there isn't a friendly mastodon instance for them. (it obviously wouldn't solve many problems but they wouldn't be getting constantly banned from it like on BS)

I'm obviously missing something here, if you have an explanation

@so_treu I know this is an old post, but wanted to note that in the past few weeks alone, I've gotten at least 15 more Palestinian follower requests. The increase right now is due to being banned from other platforms at a higher rate right now, especially from Facebook, from what I hear. I really want to make them feel some form of community and safety here, just as I want that for Black users (and of course Black Palestinian users as well!)

Everything you say was/is still true though and will only get even worse if we as a community don't actively shut out racists and zionists. Because if we don't, especially the mods here, we won't have Palestinians or Black people at all and the platform will become more toxic and self-reinforcingly shitty than it already is.

There is still so much work to be done! I'm willing to do anything within my means to help with that. Please ping me if I can bully a racist off the platform for you or if there's any instances you feel should be defederated with, that I'm not yet aware of. Always happy to help
