Don't be fooled today by yellow journalism phrases like "deployed troops". In any other scenario, the deployment of armed military units against a peaceful civilian population without consent is called war.

Trump declared war on the city of Los Angeles yesterday. That's what happened.

@Lana I'd like to "favorite" but this is not inherently likeable...
@Lana I didn't think that the "civil war" movie was a documentary

@Lana

Those were my exact words when I heard.

@Lana Tanks rolling into DC, ostensibly for....Soviet style shindig (and..more?!), troops deployed in US second largest city for...no apparent reason & against wishes of state & local gov't. So..anyone have a thought about when the staged fire at the US Capitol is scheduled for?? And then.... oooooh!...comes America's Night of the Long Knives....when "unfriendlies", such as Congress members, judges, state gov't members, etc are arrested/kidnapped/disappeared....so much fun to come!!
@Lana The sad truth is that "declaring war" is something that happens on paper, and has consequences, such as war crimes. The USA has not formally declared a war since World War II. This is of course, specifically to be able to commit war crimes without them actually being war crimes.
@Tumby we are not discussing legal definitions here. We are talking about what literally happened.
