@GrapheneOS the update fails for me with this error:
Unable to install Vanadium Config.

Details:
INSTALL_FAILED_INTERNAL_ERROR: fs-verity not set up for system package update com.android.server.pm.PackageManagerException: APK doesn't have fs-verity: /data/app/vmdl315342658.tmp/base.apk

Any idea what could be causing it?

@darkyen You're likely on a Pixel 9a but not yet updated to the latest OS release, which is needed to resolve this issue. Our port of removing the Play Store's "Automatic protection" injected code to the Pixel 9a device branch broke updating system apps out-of-band because of an upstream Android issue in Android 15 QPR1 which was resolved for Android 15 QPR2. The issue was quickly resolved after it was reported.

We test the OS upgrade path before releases but not updating apps out-of-band.

@GrapheneOS Thanks, I have updated the OS and the update has succeeded.
@GrapheneOS Hi, can you add a background media playback feature to the browser please
@userj It already supports background media playback. The website needs to use a media session. YouTube deliberately avoids implementing videos in a way that background playback would work since they sell it as a premium feature in the YouTube app. Some browsers implement a workaround specifically for YouTube.
