Connection missed, taking a dip in Lake Balaton while waiting for the next bus, getting the most out of the 50 minutes we have.
Next bus is full with kids from a school group, we get the last free seats in the first row. Unfortunately the driver smokes an electric cigarette, smells fucking awful. #Hungary #Volánbusz
Next leg is 1,5km walk through Zalaegerszeg, as there is no (suitable) public transport between the bus station and the train station. Not a bad walk though as the temperature has dropped to a pleasant range.
Arrived at the train station where the last leg is announced to be at least 10 minutes late.
The departue board is funny because it actually shows today’s departures for earlier hours but as some point in the afternoon they stopped giving a fuck about updating it :D
8 hours 35 minutes later arrived at the destination. Could have been a 3:20 drive on quite good roads, but where is the adventure in that? ;)
(Will definitely rent a car next time for this trip.)
