Another day, another #AudioMo. Today it's a recording of the clock that was such a centerpiece of my grandparents house. This thing could and would wake me at night when it struck, but its ticking would also get me back to sleep. It's mine now and I hope to have it in whatever space I occupy soon. Also, whoever repaired this thing last messed with the striker and it just doesn't sound like it used to which kind of irritates me.
@MariahL That's a great clock
@MariahL My great grandma had a big grandfather clock. I don't have a recording of it sadly but that thing annoyed the hell out of me but it was also my childhood and if I didn't hear it I got kinda scared.
@RainbowRemedy When my grandmother died, I walked into her house and almost freaked out because the clock wasn't wound. I made my mother show me how to do it that day because it was just too quiet
@RainbowRemedy I don't know how I'm going to adapt that clock so I can take care of winding and setting it myself but I don't even have it yet so one step at a time I suppose
@MariahL This sounds like a clock I used to have, that I named Nigel. I've included it striking 12 for you to see what you think.
