Teachers Are Not OK

@nev @rwg @deborahh

I taught undergraduates for a while and I set an exercise/short project that called them to put up a convincing website or Wikipedia page that contained some asserted, but wrong, information.

Extra kudos could be gained if they got references or inlinks to the site, even more when Google found it.

It helped them understand the issue a little bit better.

Unfortunately, even after we took them down at the end of course, some survived on archive sites. Oops.

@G8GDS @rwg @deborahh when i see people posting screenshots of text instead of links to the original post or a reliable source that backs up what it says, i like to reply with a screenshot of their post but edited with dev tools to make it look like they're saying something embarrassing. i don't think it has actually taught anyone media literacy but it makes me feel better

see Fig. 1 (i'm sorry)

@nev @rwg @deborahh That's really cool.
@G8GDS @rwg @deborahh (now I feel like a jerk for impugning your reputation do you want me to take the post down lol)
@nev @rwg @deborahh
Nah, you're fine.
