I enjoyed the first season of Poker Face; each bottle episode had a nice overarching framing to it. I'm having a much harder time with season 2, which seems much more reliant on stunt casting and over-the-top scenarios. And why they would establish a new framing device at the start of season 2 similar to season 1, only to resolve it by S02E03 was just weird.
Oh well. Plenty of other shows.
I'm more annoyed that Natasha Lyonne is doing that instead of more seasons of Russian Doll, but oh well.
@GregNilsen I stood up and cheered at the end of Russian Doll season 1, but was really put off by the 2nd season.
However, I do agree that the Poker Face format is odd - you have this highly charismatic, main character that remains off screen for the first third to half of any given show? What?
Must be something about 2nd seasons...
I enjoyed Russian Doll S2, and was eager to see where they were going next...
