It's not every day your name is on the top of the Google Cloud blog. Google's engineers wrote about the ginormous 6.3 terabits per second attack on KrebsOnSecurity.com on May 12.

"In the May incident, the attacker sent large data packets to random ports at a rate of approximately 585 million packets per second, which is over 1,000 times the usual rate for KrebsOnSecurity."

Here's my May 20 story about the attack:

@briankrebs Yeah but what's up with China, Korea, and Brazil. They were like the bulk of the devices that attacked you? Some device popular in those companies that was hacked? One might think China, with its state sponsored internet censorship, would have a big handle on traffic coming from their ASINs.
@ChuckMcManis @briankrebs While I agree with your broader point, just want to correct that the top country was Vietnam, not Korea (which was tied for 67th place). Taiwan was also high on the list, along with China, Brazil, and Indonesia.
