Just released. My Nature World View piece:

"Never before has the USA seen such an anti-intellectual, anti-science assault...Unchecked, the consequences for the nation’s economy and wellbeing will be dire.
History tells us that there are times when the dangers of inaction become sufficiently threatening to individuals or the planet that scientists who are able and willing to do so will have to enter the public arena and bring their voices to debates of critical societal importance. This is such a time."

@petergleick

Thank you for taking the time to write this piece for Nature, I have always enjoyed your writing.

I would like to see more written on the "how" to be more active. What I see on that topic is usually at such a high level that I, personally, don't find it useful. I suppose one could respond with just do something, anything. However, that doesn't seem particularly useful either.

It's hard to compete with writings from automated production, so I'm not sure that's an answer.

@petergleick Very good, but this anti-science is driven by religion, particularly the abrahamic ones. Their morality is outdated and based upon false narratives written by people who never understood the nature of reality as much as we do now. FFS people; wake up! If you want to be in these clubs, realize you're the problem. Just as we realized people were not possessed by the devil; they had epilepsy!
