Yes, but if they had just left everything in a proper measuring system rather than converting to and from metric, they could have saved themselves a lot of time and work. They might have made it to the moon in 65 rather than 69.

btw the Russians also use metric and they put the first man into space and probes onto the moon

It's a good thing that they do use the metric system.
