things i cared about as a baby neteng superimposed over my constant neverending self-imposed nightmare reality🧃

@tracketpacer

In your past self's defence, the cool, twiddly nobby thing is VERY cool.

It's not relevant to anything I do for a living (I don't even work in IT), but I suddenly want one on my desk at work so that I can claim it's giving the 'wrong readout' whenever someone asks me to do something I think is daft.

@DarkSheepArts @tracketpacer everyone who does any kind of engineering needs a scope.
They're useful
They're great conversation starters in video/irl meetings
They got shelf cred
They're a decor necessity in any *punk utopia/dystopia we're heading to

@vandorb12 @tracketpacer

That tracks.

I work in a museum, looking after the exhibits, but since nobody really understands my job, it is 100% not out of the question that if someone asked me to do something I could twiddle the knob to make it make an 'oooo' sound, and then say "sorry, that could destabilise the humidity" and they AT LEAST have to take it semi-seriously.
