Remember when I challenged myself to write poems about Lavinia in as many poetic forms as possible?

I also had a contrapuntal kicking around but never finished.
I'm realizing I never tried a limerick, maybe because it's hard for me to imagine a limerick being sad? But perhaps that's a challenge worthy of pursuing.
I'm looking into limericks and the sites are all like ":) limericks are a fun and silly form! Treat the ending like a punchline! Don't be afraid to get zany or absurd!"
and I'm here like "how can I make this about a father treating the child he claims to love as expendable?"
