I think I understand your point that anti-AI arguments feel like gatekeeping of the occult coding class. But I don't see how a tool that can't get boilerplate right reliably can save us from boilerplate. It's not what LLMs are designed to do.
I'm much more excited about LSPs and projects like Ruby's Prism to achieve the goals you describe and increase accessibility for all.
