Sometimes I think about watching Fight Club for the first time, and Where Is My Mind? by the Pixies pops into my head, and I get all nostalgic about the early Tumblr times. 🥹

Somehow young Steph made the choice to watch the movie at balls thirty in the morning. It completely blew my mind, the world felt so surreal for a moment, and it was dawn when I finished the movie.

Truly a moment™️.

Fight Club gets even more nuanced when you read the book and realise everything is about Marla Singer. ✨
@Radgryd how so?

@Polyducks Tyler exists because of Marla. He is everything Jack could never be.

"I love everything about Tyler Durden, his courage and his smarts. His nerve. Tyler is funny and charming and forceful and independent, and men look up to him and expect him to change their world. Tyler is capable and free, and I am not." (p. 174)

"I know why Tyler had occured. Tyler loved Marla. From the first night I met her, Tyler or some part of me had needed a way to be with Marla." (p. 198)

@Radgryd awesome read, thanks. So he invented Tyler to impress Marla, am I understanding it correctly?
@Polyducks Exactly! In the book it's made very clear, in the movie not so much. I love both interpretations on its own though. The book also has a different ending. I think it's worth a read, easy to read and not too long at all.
In my opinion the perfect book length to make a movie out of.
