For anyone thinking of visiting Sydney, I very strongly recommend taking the ferry from Circular Quay to Parramatta. You get some of the most amazing views you'll see on any urban public transport trip anywhere in the world. #travel #Sydney #Parramatta #NSW #tourism #boat
@ajsadauskas cheapest harbour cruise in the world!
@michcampbell @ajsadauskas the Staten Island ferry is free and has some decent views too
@luciedigitalni @ajsadauskas oh dang. Second cheapest harbour cruise in the world!
@michcampbell @luciedigitalni @ajsadauskas star ferry in HK is really quite a deal....
@michcampbell @ajsadauskas how much return?
@skribe @michcampbell @ajsadauskas It's fully integrated into Sydney's Opal public transport ticketing system.

For a full-dare adult, fares are capped at:

$50 a week
$18.70 a day (Mondays to Thursdays),
$9.35 on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays

In other words, if you go on a Friday or a weekend, it's $9.35 from Circular Quay all the way to Parramatta and back by ferry.

And as an added bonus, almost any other train, tram, metro, or bus trips that day will be free as well.

@ajsadauskas taking the ferry over to Manley one morning for a work thing was a great way for this Melbourne boy to feel like he'd made the right choice moving here (not that I voluntarily get on boats often because terrible motion sickness)
@ajsadauskas I don't like the fleet as much. First fleet FTW

@ajsadauskas going the other way to Manly is also pretty spectacular.

I totally agree, I always recommend riding the ferry to people visiting Sydney.
