I don't hate #Rust, but...

Why does the description of every Rust program end with: "[written] in Rust"

Should other software be updated?

"Mastodon: Your self-hosted, globally interconnected microblogging community, in Ruby"

"MS-DOS: the Microsoft Disk Operating System, in x86 assembly"

@generalx Confession time: I was annoyed that I took so long to realize mastodon was a ruby thing. Call me a parochial programmer but my first question about software is often what language is it.

@jayalane I'm the same way, except there seems to be an active effort by Rust devs to inform you that something's written in Rust!
