And after the burr aligment was done, I ran about 1,5 kg of cheap beans through the grinder to start seasoning the burrs.
What I found incredible, is that the #DF64 Gen 2 just plowed through that.
I think the 1,5 kg took me about 20-25 min to grind through.
After that the grinder was warm, but really aced it.

I will run another 1 kg of beans through it when the shop opens again tomorrow and I am home from work.
But I think 2,5 kg is a good starting point for new burrs.
Already tried a few shots today to learn about about the flavor profile those burrs will give me in the future.

What I find amazing, especially compared to the #DF64 Gen1, which was notoriously messy and had huge problems with static build up (I still like the grinder), the DF64 Gen2 is sooo much cleaner.
Which is thanks to the redesigned burr chamber and an ion generator in the exit chute, which helps to break static and prevents the coffee grounds to fly all over the place.

Even after running through 1,5kg of coffee, there really isn't much buildup.
It was just vacuumed with a small hand held vacuum cleaner to remove loose grounds
