Switch 2 supports USB mouse controls, developer reveals - Lemmy.World

Lemmy

As soon as they showed the JoyCon mouse control I was hoping there would be support for standard mice. It still doesn’t do anything to steer me toward a Switch 2 over a Steam Deck, but it’s an excellent move for accessibility.

Who’s claiming that giving away your Deck is a necessity?

I don’t have a Steam Deck yet. Given the choice between that and the Switch 2, at this point, I’m still going with the Steam Deck.
So would I but in the real world no choice is needed and with a bit of adult money one can get both. And if one is in financial hardship, get neither.

So you really can’t see why someone would only want to spend $400-$500 instead of $900-$1100?

Also some people don’t have time for two handhelds lol

Sure I can which is why I don’t waste money on iPhones and branded clothing. Steam Deck is out since three years. Adult people working regular jobs who actually want one, have one.

Nobody plays two handhelds at once. We can use the same accessory bag containing USB C dock, cables, and controllers (incl. mouse), though, and play Mario Kart World in Switch 2 and Sonic Racing Transformed on Deck right after another.

Dude you can’t possibly be this dense. I didn’t say play them at the same time, that’s an absurd thing to say. I’m saying have time to play the games on both handheld.

Your iPhone rant has nothing to do with it. People have budgets. “If you can buy one handheld, why not buy both?” Is just out of touch. Plain and simple.

Dude you can’t possibly be this dense.

No need for insults. What is wrong with you?

I didn’t say play them at the same time, that’s an absurd thing to say. I’m saying have time to play the games on both handheld devices.

Playing a game each on two devices costs as much time as two games on one. Having more than one gaming device is commonplace.

Fair enough but come on, you can’t be having this much trouble following me. Do I really need to be so prescriptive? Do I need to outline every single little possible detail here? You really can’t infer at all what I’m saying?
