Lol, yeah.

"Mmmmm, grassy and musty! Num nummm!!!!"

God bless the #Argentinians that are probably trying to look up my address to choke me right now. XD

#YerbaMate

But yeah, a wee splash of cranberry juice and an eyedropper-full of stevia extract in the hot water thermos really hits the spot.

I just got some Canarias Serena in the mail, so I'm looking forward to trying it tomorrow. It's probably fairly strong compared to the Argentinian brands I've had before.

You need to leave canarias a bit longer with the first pour of water before putting the bombilla in, it's a thinner grind, so if you don't it's probably gonna get clogged

Good to know! I usually do a warm first pour and leave the mate sitting at an angle for about five minutes before I put the bombilla in.

Oh, I love tea, and drink it every day.

Tea is for enjoyment.

Mate is for work and clarity (and it's own, distinct form of enjoyment)

Ah. Well, I look at it as training wheels for the tongue.

I never add anything to Earl Grey, unless it's just badly over-extracted. But someone new to tea, might need it.

I still need additives for coffee, because my tongue is new to the flavor.

Same goes for Yerba Mate.

It takes time to cultivate an appreciation for the true flavor of the drink.

My Afghan side wants plenty of sugar in my tea, my Indian side wants it to be 2/3 milk and with plenty of sugar and spices.

Usually I go for sugar, spices, and no milk. But I can enjoy it without sugar if needed.
