@sharpdresseddyke @aquasscum Yeah, that as well. Not a fan of PE ownership (living as I do in Massachusetts where PE firms' rent extraction schemes killed a bunch of hospitals).

And Joann Fabrics had a very bad method of handling "order online, we'll deliver to your home". And, based on my store visit in January, insufficient staffing and poor use of space.

@aquasscum I wonder how that balances against all the people who started sewing during the pandemic, though. They're mostly clothing makers, and mostly more to the left.

@aquasscum Fair, although, even as someone who buys MOST of her fabric online, it is nice to check it fabric in person.

My favourite fabric shop is online only, but they are also a 40 minute walk from me and let you pick up to save the shipping costs. I've only had one minor goof, where I got jersey in the round instead of flat. Ultimately it didn't matter, but it was a surprise.
