Hypernormalization. A Solviet Era term. A Russian programmer told me that before he left the Solviet Union, everyone only felt society had colapsed when eventually no one could get chocolate. Not that it was expensive, it was unavailable. For him that was the moment. Until then, it's hypernormalization.
