Truly sad news about #glitch no longer hosting apps. It meant a lot to the creative botmaking community.

Would love to know where everyone's moving their bots! (And hoping many will keep them alive!)

@botwiki In my case, I have my own server where I host most of my projects.

But I will miss being able to make it easier for others to make their own bots, there is just nothing like Glitch out there. Even when they introduced a paid plan, it still remained the best place to host your apps, especially bots, which can be really simple, and grow in complexity as people learn more.

The creative botmaking community has already been hit pretty hard with changes to Twitter's API, and now, of course, Musk's takeover, and this definitely won't help.

But we'll see. Creativity finds a way.

@stefan @botwiki do you have insights over what kind of bots people build? I want to see how to help.

@mapache Well, everything I made is listed here:

https://stefans-creative-bots.glitch.me

And you can also browse https://botwiki.org/bot/?tag=glitch

@stefan btw, I am ready to help with an instance of badgefed for botwiki, are you thinking in importing existing openbadges?
@mapache @stefan jumping in here at the mention of badgefed, you should come to @fediforum to talk about that if you can! Also, a Fedi bots session might be interesting too, now I think about it (I know there are several frameworks for these now)

@andypiper @stefan @fediforum I will be there! Anyone attending my unconference will receive a microcredential.

I am also in contact with fediforum to see if I can do a speed demo.
