I mentioned the other day this game I had been playing called Arcade Paradise. It was supposed to be a game about managing a video arcade in the '90s. But you didn't start out managing a video arcade; you started out running a laundromat, and had to earn enough money doing laundry to slowly convert it into an arcade. And I found the laundry stuff more engrossing than the arcade stuff. As a joke, I said they should have just made a laundromat game.

Anyhoo, it turns out that someone actually did make that game. And the two are similar enough mechanics-wise that now I'm wondering who ripped off whom

Honestly, either of these games sounds like they should be based on the Jason Momoa character from the MINECRAFT movie

It's a terrible movie, but in an unusual way: it's a chimera of two kinda interesting vanity projects and one after-school Very Special Episode (& the three DO NOT play well together).

It's Momoa's vanity project — in which he is a Napoleon Dynamite-ish washed-up video game former champion running a vintage electronics shop — that reminds me of this game

(Jack Black's vanity project is a Minecraft-themed rock opera. The Very Special Episode is the rest of the movie.)
