@rbreich I am sure that Walmarts absorption of the tariff impact (rather than pushing the effect onto buyers) will end up reducing "shareholder value'. And we know how powerful are the forces of "shareholder value". They want their pound of flesh and will move heaven and earth to get it. Meaning that it is unlikely that Walmart will retain its "absorb tariff" policy for very long - Walmart will simply increase the prices more slowly and without fanfare.

Ironic that Republicans always say that government should not be involved in business and that the free market should always be the thing. And then they do the opposite and threaten anyone who speaks up against their actions...
