Iâll preface this by saying that I do not and never have watched Eurovision so I wasnât expecting this to be anything special.
Boy, was I wrong.
The episode itself was fine. I liked that they actually to the time to come up with a reason why everyone didnât immediately die in space. I liked Belinda having a little freak out when she thought she was stuck in space without the Doctor, then getting over it and started looking for solutions to the situation. I liked The Doctor too far although Belinda should really have taken him to task far more than she did for it.
I liked the ideas behind the plot (âcool motive, still murderâ), but despite Cora coming out and singing a song in front off everyone at the end, did anything actually happen because of it? At best it seems theyâd have ended up with a âsure, youâre one of the good ones, but theyâre generally still terroristsâ, right? Or maybe that was the depressing pointâŚ
Iâm intrigued to see where theyâre going with the Susan thing, but damn itâs good to see Carole Ann Ford back!
Not sure how I feel about Mrs Flood bigenerating (a thing so rare it has previously only happened once and been mentioned as previously theoretical) and now The Rani is back. Yay? I donât think that makes all the fourth wall breaking betterâŚ?
But itâs good to have a Time Lord (Lady, if youâre old fashioned đ) antagonist who isnât The Master.
And potentially that means thereâs at least three Time Lords still around. So thatâs nice. At this rate, I wouldnât be surprised to see Romana come back in another season or two.
