@kr1st I’m interested in the field. I really like my IC7200 with most things being done by simple button pressing. It is a lot to lug around down to the water at the lake though.
@WS0SWV The 7200 is a nice rig. There's something to be said for keeping things simple. You're more focused on actually making QSO's rather than get distracted by the hundreds of features a rig like the FTX-1 has. I always liked my IC-718 for it's simplicity, yet a very capable rig.
I'm mainly looking at the Optima as a replacement travel rig for the FT-897. It would have been nice if it also had a power supply option like the FT-897 had.
@kr1st Funny thing is I rarely look at the radio when activating. Though my 20 minutes of hunting at the end would benefit from a waterfall.
