On a business trip. Just checked into a hotel, the hotel room has a voice assistant (something like Amazon's Alexa) in it, recording guest's every word.

Hotel management probably thinks putting one in every guest's room so they can do voice command like "Alexa, turn of the light" is a cute and harmless idea.

I yanked its power cord off immediately.

It's so f creepy that it gives me chills. When would this moronic AI craze end?

Also, they haven't asked guest whether they agree with the voice assistant's term of service or privacy policy or not, which means the hotel is just asking for legal troubles, if anyone sues.
@Orca Maybe it's just a simple command assistant, not even connected to the Internet:YanamiAnna11:
@Fate Its manufacturer is Baidu, how could it not be connected to the Internet?
