The Nakba didn’t end in 1948—it has been ongoing. From the expulsion of 750,000 Palestinians to the genocide of Gaza, from bulldozed villages to bombed hospitals, from refugee tents in Ramla to refugee tents in Rafah. What we’re witnessing today is the same campaign of erasure, carried out by Israel since the beginning.

@mondoweiss What happened to the billions invested into Gaza? Billions and Billions? in Oct 2023 the people of Israel broke. They really meant No More. Never again would Jews accept being attacked as something they must endure on a daily basis. Why hasn’t Egypt, UAE, Qatar, Jordan and Saudi Arabia accepted refugees? Why aren’t they rattling the sabers at Israel? They are strangely quiet are they not?
Israel has much to answer for but peace was always on the table.
