Hot take that everyone agrees with incoming but I need to vent.

The US healthcare system is shit. I have wasted half a day on the phone just trying to get diabetic test strips. Something I have need for years now but because my health insurance changed and I have to get approval for them again. This has actually been an issue since the start of the year, and I have just been paying out of pocket for them this whole time.

Fuck insurance companies.

@ChrisLawley It's insane. My son is on a few different ADHD/anxiety/mood stabilizer meds. Some are considered controlled substances which means I have to put in a monthly refill request myself, I can't do 3 months at a time, and it's almost always out. Why do I have to put it in monthly and why can't pharmacies just transfer the prescription to another pharmacy if they have it in? Why do I have to do all the work? Auto refills and prescription transfers should be healthcare 101
