@georgetakei *sigh* I know the author of this post is being hyperbolic for effect (or they don't understand the rules they followed in the military), but, in fact, government employees visiting contractor sites can absolutely "accept a cup of coffee and a doughnut," both because they are below the $20 threshold (they are de minimis) and because they would typically be offered to anyone in that context, i.e., they aren't targeted at the fed.
Facts matter, y'all.

@georgetakei Why does this matter? Because when you make the rules surrounding gifts to federal employees sound unreasonable by lying about them, you make it _more_ likely, not less, that people will look at what Trump is doing and say, "Meh? Who cares. The rules are stupid, anyway."
