Worried that I've fallen into a wormhole to the past, as I attempt to purchase a modern specification document that is only available from an all-German website, exclusively in paper form (no electronic formats), and placing the order seems to just email someone in an office somewhere and they'll get back to me in 3-5 business days to tell me how much I owe them, because shipping isn't calculated by computer.
Okay, well I've ordered an alleged new/better way to compute SMD land patterns from fed.de, which afaict is a similar level of dysfunction as IPC, but in German. I'm giving it maybe a 30% chance that I ever get a reply, or indeed the document I attempted to purchase.
Genuinely if I want this document, I may have to track down someone in Germany willing to receive it through the local mail system and scan it for me, because I'm not getting a vibe of "we'll figure out international shipping" from this group tbh
