It is a reasonable argument for why — people on the Fediverse should work with people on Bluesky, on Matrix, on Nostr, on Farcaster, etc (on some things).
Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good (enough).
We have shared goals with them.
We can work together on those shared goals (even if there are some other things we disagree on).
The world can be (at the very least) less-worse, if not better, if we work together.

I am old enough that I remember that the open-source movement was largely born of a coalition of two political factions.
They disagreed on many things.
But, they also agreed on some things and had a shared goal — (what eventually was named) the open-source (software) movement.
So they worked together.
And turned the idea of open-source (software) — into a social-movement and a culture.
The world is now not only less-worse, but is also better place, because of open-source.
