I’ve never liked the phrase “toxic drugs”, implying the pure varieties are all kosher. As this recent CBC report about increasing deaths in New Foundland and Labrador remind us, certain street drugs in their purest of forms cause deaths, no “toxic” fentanyl required. And beyond “toxicity”, certain substances have a tendency to increase crime as this report reminds us. Hopefully the American Border patrol can mitigate the flow of these drugs northward.
