And DHL gets very uppity if you don't pay that bill very promptly.
Ravelights@FreydNot We've had some luck doing self-clearance with DHL here in the great white north. They'll get grumpy, but they'll hold the package for a month to let you figure your stuff out.
It only really works because I happen to be a 15-minute drive away from one of the two customs offices in the lower mainland here, which in turn is a minute down the road from the DHL warehouse. It's a pain in the neck to self-clear, but it saves us _quite_ a lot of money.
