Scenes while cooking: I followed a recipe a bit closer this time: almost all ingredients were the right ones, but the quantities got more and more approximate as I went down the list.

Got a bit panicky when ‘while the dish is under the grill, prepare the sauce’ didn’t give me enough time (slow dicer, me) and then the smoke alarm went off while I was halfway through a chilli. (There was zero burning and I ended up putting it back under at a slightly lower temperature.)

But it* was in spite of all the shenanigans, very tasty.
