Fiona Bianchi@libreoffice I suspect that “OpenOffice” is just an easier name to remember and say given the alliteration. I also guess that Apache still have this project due to Oracle garbage.
In a perfect world maybe the entity called LibreOffice could also go by OpenOffice and maybe even other translations of “Open”. A rose by any other name etc.
