@glyph I really do think that one day mobile notifications as they are today will be a thing of the past, all it takes is for one of the major mobile manufacturers to blink and realize this will be the new user expectation.

The same thing happened to calls with voicemail + caller ID, if you're not in my phone you get sent straight there and I'll check later. If you're not my family or friends I don't want you to have access to my attention at a moments notice. This seems pretty straightforward?
