Melancholic Mediocrity May 2, 2025

Sometimes the Fediverse seems so weird; this place is filled with professors, doctors, scientists, physicists, and experts in just about every field imaginable.

I, however, am a high school dropout with no marketable skills, aspirations, or expertise, with mental illness that interferes with even trying to perform the basic tasks necessary to be a functional adult.

Yet, here we are conversing.

@wendinoakland Ma'am, you're a world-class, accomplished professional whom I respect. I am the one who is truly fortunate to be in the company of greats here that often leave me in awe at their knowledge and talent.

But you are correct -- we are much more than what we might seem -- and (like a broken record I once again exclaim) I adore the Fediverse for giving all of us a chance to show that.
