@aggyanubis. Are ANY of you Mexican? A tradition of five centuries doesn’t just disappear. La corrida has been in decline for decades, but in this small town in wintering in, there have been three bullfights including NYE. I attended two of these, both were near sellouts, indicating a general popularity.

Yes they are popular in some places more than others here in México. And as you point out it has been in decline and some town organizers have been relegating them to "festive" dates because of falling interest but as you also state, it will take a few decades before it's over for good.
