Plans have been unveiled for Trump Hotel & Residences Dubai in the heart of the #UAE, measuring almost 1,150 feet with a swimming pool at the top. Prices for 2-bed apartments start at $1M & the website for the property offers free 10 year ‘golden visas’.

#Trump’s latest enterprise is being developed by #Dubai real estate company #DarGlobal & will be the first Trump International Hotel in the #MiddleEast.

…The advertised “golden visa” does not specify which country it is for, but in Feb Trump announced the concept of selling a "#GoldCard" #visa for $5M potentially offering #wealthy buyers residency in the #US & granting them a pathway to #citizenship.

@Nonilex the golden Visa has been around in the United Arab Emirates for a couple of years now. Everybody who invest more than 2 million dirham will be eligible for a golden Visa. You will never acquire an Emirati passport, you will never become a citizen of the Emirates, no matter how much money you bring with you. You will get a golden Visa, which is a residency visa.
It’s okay if people are annoyed or associate this with corruption but Portugal for example, has a similar option.

@Nonilex @maddad just for your information: there’s nothing new or unique about golden visas. They have been around in the United Arab Emirates for quite awhile and everybody who invest more than 2 million dirham qualifies for obtaining such a golden Visa.

I write this because it is suggested on multiple outlets that this is something special for the Trump tower.

It’s not.

Nor is it unique for the UAE. Portugal for example,offers a similar option.
