Why must everything be "unbelievable" or "incredible" (which means the same thing)?

Maybe things that are unbelievable are that way because they're not true.

I realize that magats believe untrue things, because believing the unbelievable is their thing, and having many people all believe the same unbelievable thing is their power . . .

But still.

And don't get me started on deranged!
