I got a “Welcome to Germany” notification from an app that has location privacy set to “while using the app”. What are they doing? Do apps all have permission to check the MNC of the network you’re on? I do not like it.

@kalleboo That’s what I’m wondering too. But I was also using the train wifi in Denmark, and the train is DB so the exit is in Germany. I got the notification maybe 15 minutes after crossing the border. Maybe it was coincidental timing.
Can apps read the MNC without permission?
