Yunohost – Selfhosting made easy

YunoHost is a system that installs itself on a server and allows you to install and maintain - with very little technical knowledge - digital services (apps) that you control.

Basically, you feed it a VPS, an old laptop or even just a Raspi, and it allows you to install and run a number of applications on it.

The full list of applications is here:
https://apps.yunohost.org/

Yunohost is supported by NLNet, Next Generation Internet, Code Lutin, Globenet, Gitoyen, tetaneutral.net, and Octopuce – as always, France seems to have much better organized structures for self-governed and independent hosting than Germany.

You can follow them here: @yunohost

It also has a donation campaign:

You sure about that? Germany is one of the countries with the cheapest server hosting costs, globally speaking.

Some of these customers must be self-hosting their own stuff, right?

Maybe they just like doing things the hard way and do not need tooling like yunohost. 😆
